Myopia Procedure (R&D)

Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is a common vision condition where individuals can see objects close to them clearly, but objects farther away appear blurry. This happens because light entering the eye focuses in front of the retina instead of directly on it.

There are approximately 2.6 billion individuals with myopia worldwide. 720 million children between 2-18 are estimated to have myopia worldwide.

Opti-K® is a patented Laser Vision Correction (LVC) device and procedure that corrects presbyopia. It is non-invasive, painless, repeatable and requires no operating room or continued post-operative pharmaceuticals. There is no damage to the epithelium, no aberrations, and no cutting, ever! Results are immediate with no downtime.

Currently unavailable as a procedure. A patent for a device and procedure for myopia has been filed with USPTO and the required design & engineering changes are in R&D at this time.
